23.11.2021 The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic as the Programme Operator of the Programme „Climate change mitigation and adaptation - SK-Climate”, in close cooperation with the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE), the Directorate for Civil Protection and Emergency Planning (DSB) and the Norwegian Environmental Agency (NEA) as the Donor Programme Partners, organizes Information event of the SK-Climate Programme, which will take place online on 8th December 2021 (Wednesday).

27.10.2021 On 26th October 2021, the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, as the Programme Operator of the programme "Climate change mitigation and adaptation" (SK-Climate programme) implemented within the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Financial Mechanism of the Kingdom of Norway in the 2014-2021 programming period, issued Decisions on the award of grants under the Calls No. 3 (code ACC05) and Call No. 4 (code ACC04).

30.09.2021 Dear applicant, we would like to inform you that the results of the Selection process of project applications within the Call no. 3 (code ACC05) - ClimaInfo and Call no. 4 (code ACC04) ClimaLocal will be published on the website of Programme Operator. The SK-Climate Programme Operator will also inform applicants by e-mail.

01.06.2021 The Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic as the Programme Operator of the SK-Climate Programme "Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation", financed by the Financial Mechanisms of the European Economic Area and the Kingdom of Norway in the programming period 2014-2021, would like to inform the applicants, that project applications are in the expert evaluation process, from 1 June 2021 to 31 August 2021.

25.05.2021 On 31 March 2021 Call for project proposals was closed within the Programme SK-Climate „Restoration of degraded wetland ecosystems“ (ClimaLocal) with code ACC04 and on 26 February 2021 Call for project proposals was closed „Awareness raising on climate change adaptation and mitigation“ (ClimaInfo) with code ACC05.

22.05.2021 Biodiversity and ecosystem services help us to adapt and mitigate the effects of climate change. Regarding the occasion of International World Bee Day (May 20) and International Biodiversity Day (May 22), let us remind the importance of measures and activities aimed to protecting biodiversity, which are also implemented within the SK-Climate Programme.

11.05.2021 The Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic as the Programme Operator of the SK-Climate Programme "Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation", financed by the Financial Mechanisms of the European Economic Area and the Kingdom of Norway in the programming period 2014-2021, would like to inform the public, that on 12 May 2021 will be effective Project Contracts concluded with 3 other Cities from the Reserve List within the Call ACC02 "Action plans for mitigation and adaptation implemented by local authorities in urban areas (CLIMAURBAN)", financed from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and the State Budget of the Slovak Republic.

21.04.2021 For the first time, Earth Day was celebrated on April 22, 1970 in San Francisco at the initiative of activists and ecologists in the spirit of integrating ecology into politics. Today, Earth Day is an international holiday, with events taking place worldwide to highlight the deteriorating state of the environment and to promote ecological behavior. This year, on this occasion, the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, in cooperation with departmental organizations, organizes events, including lectures and competitions.

19.04.2021 According to the decision approved within the Written Procedure of the Cooperation Committee No. 04/2021, the Call published under the code ACC_BF 01, financed from the Fund for Bilateral Relations of the EEA and Norway Grants under the SK-Climate Programme, was cancelled on March 29, 2021.

08.04.2021 The closure of the Call for Proposals No. 4 (code ACC04) "Restoration of degraded wetland ecosystems" (ClimaLocal) funded by the Norway Grants and the State Budget of the Slovak Republic was on 31st March 2021. Under this Call, 8 Project Applications were received and registered by the Programme Operator. The cumulative amount of total eligible expenditure is 6.53 mil. EUR and the cumulative amount of the Project Grant requested is 6.19 mil. EUR.

06.04.2021 On 31 March 2021 the Call for project proposals No. 4 (code ACC04) „Restoration of degraded wetland ecosystems“ (ClimaLocal) financed from the Norway Grants and the State Budget of the Slovak Republic was closed within the Programme SK-Climate. Within the Call ACC04, 8 project applications in the total amount of requested project grant 6 186 509 EUR were received.

19.03.2021 In 1992, the general assembly of the UN declared March 22 as a World Water Day. This day is a unique opportunity to remind all people the extraordinary importance of water for life on the blue planet Earth.

15.03.2021 The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic as the Programme Operator of the "Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation" (SK-Climate) Programme, funded by the Financial Mechanisms of the European Economic Area and the Kingdom of Norway in the 2014-2021 programming period published Project Promoter and Project Partner Guide effective from 15th March 2021.

08.03.2021 The closure of the Call for Proposals No. 3 (code ACC05) "Awareness raising on climate change adaptation and mitigation" (ClimaInfo) funded by the Norway Grants and the State Budget of the Slovak Republic was on 26th February 2021.

02.03.2021 At the end of February 2021, the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, as the SK-Climate Programme Operator, concluded Project contracts with 6 cities and 28 schools, which succeeded in the selection process within the calls ACC01, ACC02 and ACC03. Thanks to the increased allocation for the ACC02 call, Project contracts are expected to be concluded with 3 other cities from the Reserve list during March - April 2021.
