SK-Climate Programme: In the next phase, it will be crucial to implement, to inform and to inspire

The Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, as the Programme Operator of the SK-Climate Programme, in cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bratislava and the Donor Programme Partners, organized online on 8 December 2021 the 1st information event on progress.

The event took place at a time when all calls for proposals planned under the SK-Climate Programme have been closed and the allocation is redistributed among particular projects. At the event, experts from the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic also presented current information on the agenda of climate change mitigation and adaptation. The SK-Climate Programme was presented from two perspectives - theoretical, mainly the background of the SK-Climate Programme, its objectives, calls for proposals and results already achieved from the perspective of the Programme Operator and practical - in the form of a presentations of some of the implemented projects. These presentations met with an extremely positive response, as the Programme as such consists of particular projects.

As emphasized at the event, the SK-Climate Programme is moving to another, important phase, which is the implementation of projects. Equally crucial for the next period will be providing information on the SK-Climate Programme, progress in implementation of individual projects and support provided by the Kingdom of Norway, Iceland and the Principality of Liechtenstein as Beneficiary States through EEA Grants and Norway Grants. Last but not least, we would be honoured if the solutions, approaches and ideas from SK-Climate projects became an inspiration for others.
