SK-Climate Forum: Water, cities and education in the context of climate change

The Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, as the Programme Operator of the SK-Climate Programme, in cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bratislava and the Donor Programme Partners, organized on 9 December 2021, the online bilateral event titled as: “SK-Climate Forum”.

The event have been focused on bilateral institutional cooperation with a long-term perspective between relevant experts and organizations from Donor states and Slovakia, in line with the main goal of the SK-Climate programme, which is climate change mitigated and vulnerability to climate change reduced.

The importance of combating climate change was underlined by interesting contributions from experts from main institutions representing the Kingdom of Norway and Slovakia. The program of the event "SK-Climate Forum" was divided into three thematic groups in the context of climate change on the topic of water, cities and education. As part of the topic "education", we have also focused on research at universities in Slovakia and Norway.

Thanks to the active participation and discussions of the presenting institutions from Norway and Slovakia, we have supported the bilateral exchange of experiences. We have similar challenges in the area of climate change adaptation and mitigation but the solutions could be different. Exactly here is a space and a potential opportunity for bilateral cooperation in the future in order to exchange experience and good practice.

Together we will achieve more!
