Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic

The new CALLS FOR PROJECT PROPOSALS with codes ACC04 and ACC05 are planned to be launched

The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, as the Programme Operator (hereinafter referred to as “PO”) of the "Climate change mitigation and adaptation, SK-Climate” programme - funded by the Financial Mechanisms of the European Economic Area and the Kingdom of Norway in the 2014-2021 programming period, in close cooperation with programme donor partners, such as the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate, the Directorate for Civil Protection and Emergency Planning and the Norwegian Environment Agency, would like to inform you about the planned Calls for project proposals within the SK-Climate programme.

The Calls for project proposals with the codes ACC04 and ACC05 are scheduled for December 2020.

The aim of the open Call ACC04 - ClimaLocal, is the restoration of degraded wetland ecosystems in the Slovak Republic. The Call is focused on support of measures for wetland loss and degradation reduction, revitalization of wetlands, restoration of their ecosystem services and public awareness raising on the importance of wetlands in the context of climate change.

Another Call what PO plans to launch in December 2020 is ACC05 - ClimaInfo. The objective of this open Call is to support systematic and compact activities focused on increasing the awareness-raising on climate change mitigation and adaptation, considering the principles of informal learning and targeted at a wide range of target groups.

An important part of the programme is a Bilateral Cooperation on the project level with Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Thanks to the sharing of valuable experience the Slovak applicants will be able to implement their projects better and more efficiently in cooperation with foreign partners from donor countries. Contributing to the previous aim was launched the Call for bilateral activities. Within the call it is possible to apply for a lump-sum contribution to travel costs and per diems for implementation of bilateral initiatives like a travel, transport, meals, accommodation and finding partners. (Currently temporarily suspended, more detailed information on this Call can be found here: https://www.minzp.sk/eea/vyzvy/acc_bf-01/)
